Moving Homestretch

We're mostly all packed up, the kitchen is in boxes and we're eating off of paper plates, the baby's toys are packed and all the pictures and fixtures are down and ready to go.

I think we're ready to move!

Our house is pretty unlivable for a baby right now. It's too much effort to take a picture of it for you but just imagine every square inch except for a 5 inch path, covered in boxes and stuff that's ready to go. Poor thing has nowhere to play but she's making the best of it. She's having great fun trying to climb the boxes!

So we close on both houses on Wednesday and Kevin and my brother are going to move some stuff over there on Wed night while I stay w/ the little one. Then Grandma Jean is watching Maelin all day on Thursday while we move. Our friend Steve is coming with his truck, we've rented a U-Haul and we've hired mover-guys to help with the heavy stuff. Then on Friday, my dad is taking the day off to come help. We have a lot of our stuff at his house so we'll be using his truck to empty his house and then the cleaners are coming to our old house on Friday morning and we give up possession of it on Friday afternoon!

Crazy. Only 3 days left in this house. I'll write a post about this house and give it it's proper credit later...right now Maelin and I are off to the Children's Museum to get out of this crazy house and have some fun.

We're starting to get really excited. I bought Maelin a slide and a great bookcase for her room off of Craigslist so we'll be all set at the new house. It's going to be great to have that much room for her.

Plus we'll have a designated guest room! Y'all can come stay and not be on top of us anymore!
