Needless to say, we couldn't cut ourselves in 3 and go to all the parties (well, we could but Maelin can't drive yet so that was out). The only way to do this was the fair way...we were invited to Christina's party first. Then Kelly told us about her party about 2 weeks later and then we were invited to Sherry's just last week.
We decided to only go to Christina's party. In the old days, I could have driven to Castle Rock for Kelly's party, stayed a few hours, then driven to Sherry's house in Aurora for a few hours and then finished up the night at Christina's in Denver for the remainder.
No way that was happening now with baby. Especially since she's caught a cold and has a major case of diaper rash. Poor little thing...I think she is intolerant to beef...every time we give her some the next day she has horrible runs and diaper rash.
So we went to Christina's luau party and it was great fun! She went all out with the tropical theme: we all had to wear leis, she had great food and decorations everywhere you looked. They even had a slip-n-slide which we decided to let Maelin play with. She loved it! Here's a picture of naked baby enjoying her luau party:
We had to leave earlier than I would have liked because baby wasn't feeling great and we ended up having a really hard night with her. Her rash was killing her, poor thing, and her cold kept her up till 12:30am. She was coughing really hard...as soon as she would drift off to sleep, she'd cough and then cry because she was so tired. It was awful. Finally we got her to sleep and now she's busy playing with her stroller and trying to push it around our small, crowded house.
So parties are great fun with baby...just not when she's sick.

I'm really glad you guys came to the luau. Sorry Maelin wasn't feeling up to staying and partying a little later. It got kind of silly! Pictures to come!
